Our story

As small to medium-size business owners, Lene and Pål experienced enormous challenges when the requirements of the CSRD and the Transparency Act came into effect. Although the law did not directly impact Stamas, it indirectly affected them as suppliers to larger companies. They received monthly reporting requests in various Word and Excel spreadsheets, none of which were standardized, resulting in increased resource demands and costly consultancy assistance.

Pål and Lene recognized that if they faced these challenges, many other small and medium-sized enterprises were likely experiencing similar issues. They questioned, “Is there a more efficient way to collect accurate data that is less resource-intensive for SMEs?” After evaluating existing software solutions in the market, they decided to establish Compera. Leveraging their strong partnerships, firsthand knowledge, and extensive experience in environmental management, health and safety, quality assurance, sustainability, and reporting, they launched the Compera platform.
